One of my favourite crafters, Jennifer McGuire, has just welcomed little Lila Grace into the world and I am joining the blog hop to help her family celebrate. I actually made two cards and couldn't decide which to blog about so I will show you both!!
My first one continues with the theme of pocket cards that is the PTI Make it Monday this week. I stamped the hexagon background in vintage cream ink on the card base on both sides and then impressed it with the linen impression plate. I learned from my last card to impress the card stock before making it into a pocket!
Then I cut out a fillable frame window and fit the hawaiian shores panel inside after adhering the sides with some snail adhesive. I stamped the frame from one of the Fillable Frames and then the sentiment from the anniversary set Round and Round. I impressed the inner panel with the canvas side of the impression plate for something a little different. Then, some corner rounding and voilà!
Then I decided that it needed a matching envelope so I decorated an envelope with some Heidi Grace baby stamps:
So, for my second card, I knew I wanted to finally use washi tape on a card. I made it look like the binding and scored the back card stock panel so it can open. I used two brads to attach with some snail adhesive between the two layers.
I stamped the Mat Stack frame from Modern Wood Mats and then layered one of the sweet sentiments from the set. Hard to see but I used the flourishes on the sides in lavender ink. Some corner rounding and the card was finished.
Jennifer, I wish you and your family every happiness as you enjoy this precious time with your new little cutie pie! <3
