What yummy colours are the combo this week:
I took a bunch of my favourite stamps and started stamping.
I stamped PTI's Background Basics open polka dots repeatedly in a variety of Jenni Bowlin colours and then cut out some Beautiful Blooms die cuts from some book print. I coloured it with the Jenni Bowlin inks and liberally sprayed it with Perfect Pearls in my mini mister. It's hard to see the amount of shine this gives off but it is fabulous! I used a pearl in the centre and stamped a free Lawn Fawn stamp sentiment at the bottom. Added some scoring and voilĂ ! Rounded corners finishes it off.
Supplies:
Paper: dictionary book print, PTI kraft
Stamps: PTI polka dot basics, Lawn Fawn many thanks (free)
Ink: Jenni Bowlin fountain pen, chicken feed, cough syrup, malted milk, stick candy, seed packet
Misc: Beautiful Blooms dies, MS scoring board, Perfect Pearls, mini mister, glue dots, Tombo Mono Multi glue, glue dots, corner rounder punch
I love to create cards and it seems people enjoy receiving them. You'll often find me amidst a stack of paper, glitter, stamps and inks playing with my supplies. If you would like to make an order, email me at cardsbycara AT hotmail DOT com

Summer Card Camp - submission #1 - Thank you
I am a recent addition to the Summer Card Camp and am excited about the inspiration to come!
I was impressed with week one's colour combo from the Summer Card Camp and decided to look for those colours in my supplies. I luckily found a paper pad with lots of bright colours and went to town.
Here's what I came up with:
I used the PTI In Bloom stamp set and die and impression plate. I also used the Edgers die which I am loving!! I popped up the flowers in differing levels - the larger one with one layer of foam dots and the two smaller ones with two layers. I also scored two lines with my scoring board to add some interest.
And a closeup:
Supplies:
Paper: ATD Vibrant Textured Cardstock, Staples white 110lb
Stamps: PTI Think Big Favorites #2, In Bloom
Ink: Jenni Bowlin Spice Tin
Misc: PTI In Bloom impression plate, PTI Edgers #3 die, MS Scoring Board, foam dots,

Some quick thank you cards
I made these two cards for my sister to use. Very simple and quick. I used PTI's Background Basics: Retro, and then Giga Guidelines' images in Versamark (hard to see) with the thank you sentiment from the same set over top in Broken China Distress ink. I used Amy Butler's Lotus patterned paper as the layer.
Supplies: Staples grey cardstock, Amy Butler Lotus patterned paper
Stamps: PTI's Giga Guidelines, Background Basics: Retro
Inks: Versafine Black Onyx, Broken China Distress Ink, Versamark

Go To Sentiments challenge
To help celebrate the Papertrey Anniversary, I have made a card for the Make it Mondays series. The challenge is to use a whole bunch of sentiments from different sets to create a card. I chose thank you sentiments. I used a simple combination of colours and a die cut from the Signature Series dress form. What do you think?
It's hard to tell, but I used some white wallpaper for my die cut to add some texture.
Supplies:
Paper: white wallpaper, PTI Stamper's Select white, Scarlet Jewel
Ink: Versamark, Versafine Black Onyx
Stamps: Signature Series dress form, Asian Fusion, Giga Guidelines, Faux Ribbon, Mat Stack 1 Collection, Fillable Frames 2, Mega Mixed Messages, Hero Arts classic fabric design cling stamp
Misc: foam dots, Signature Series dress form die, corner rounder, M's ribbon

PTI blog hop
This is my first blog hop entry so bear with me ...
I am using some Papertrey Ink sets I haven't had a chance to use too often even though they are gorgeous designs. Whenever I want to make a card, I have so many choices and am so torn as to what to use! So here are a few sets that haven't gotten much love lately.
The Outline Alphabet and Out on a Limb are very versatile sets and I used them with some delicious Distress Ink. The background is a simple Text Style II. Some irridescent embossing powder, White Opal Liquid Pearls and there you go!
And a full view of the card with some bad lighting (never home to take pictures of my cards in daylight ... alas!
Stamps: PTI Outline Alphabet, Out on a Limb revised, Text Style II
Paper: Hero Arts layering paper
Inks: Distress Ink,
Versamark
Misc: Liquid Pearls white opal , foam dots,
irridescent glittery embossing powder

Inspiration

So when I am in a funk and can't decide on what to create next, I often check out websites for ideas. Some of my favourites are along the side (some fabulously creative spirits there!) and I also love to look at Impress Rubber Stamps. They have an ideas page with all kinds of great ideas. The thing I love best about them is that they keep their designs simple but GORGEOUS! One of their creations is here for you to view but please take a moment to check them out. Where do you go for inspiration?
