--------------------------------------------------------------
Here is the Runway Inspired challenge. I love the houndstooth and found some free houndstooth to print out onto cardstock. I made two cards so here they are:For this one, I took a butter card from Paper Source and stamped Text Style in malted milk (Jenni Bowlin). Then I die cut a Pretty Peonies frame in a lighter houndstooth pattern, stamped with cotton candy (Jenni Bowlin) and the sentiment in soap powder (Jenni Bowlin). I cut a thin strip of the darker houndstooth and added two brads from my stash.
I popped up the frame on some foam dots and that's it.
For my next card, I went with more saturated colours:
I did some direct to paper inking with the flowers and leaves. I then layered the pink and yellow (all Jenni Bowlin inks) and the leaves were inked with Distress Ink (broken china). I stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black. Ops, just realized I forgot the sentiment inside but I guess I can do that when I decide who this card is for!
I inked up the edges of the front panel with chai vintage touch ink. Hard to tell, but I used some clear embossing powder on the flowers and leaves for a little more dimension and interest.
Supplies:
Paper: Autumn Leaves kraft card, Staples 110lb white
Stamps: PTI Movers and Shakers (sentiment)
Ink: Jenni Bowlin chicken feed, cotton candy; Distress Ink broken china; PTI Vintage Touch chai ink

Both cards are terrific but that flower is amazing, just love buttons.
Cara, I love them both! Thanks so much for joining us on the Runway!
these are great! I think I like the "wishing you" one the best. I'm not normally a floral kinda girl, but that flower is divine!
You know, that smaller scale houndstooth gives both of these a bit of a vintage feel. Love that they look so different, even with the same inspiration. I'm glad you got the chance to play along with this Runway Inspired Challenge!
