This month's blog hop over at Papertrey Ink inspired us with this gorgeous photo:
I used the following colour combination for my card:
Such a soothing colour recipe!
I made a cover plate cut with Autumn Rose and put it on a piece of clear cardstock. I left a bit of an overhang to attach to the Soft Stone base. I then adhered 6 layers of Smokey Shadow Wet Paint die cuts to each other to make a sturdy sentiment, adding one to the inside of the card for a clean look.
A few more shots to see it close up ...
And that's it! I will write my message on the back of the card to leave the inside pristine. I often make this kind of card and add some stamping to the inside so you can see through the clear cardstock ... a different take on a regular card!
I love to create cards and it seems people enjoy receiving them. You'll often find me amidst a stack of paper, glitter, stamps and inks playing with my supplies. If you would like to make an order, email me at cardsbycara AT hotmail DOT com

Luxe Smiles
I was inspired by the Papertrey design team revisiting Harvest Berries so I decided to create another card with the Luxe Letterpress Market Kit from Papertrey. I used the impression plate for the front panel to add some texture.
It left me with a window so I decided to mask it off and add some Harvest Berries images and a sentiment from Natural Beauties.
I used Fresh Ink in Provincial Gray and Sugar with the sentiment in Charcoal. I really like the look of these colours together - very calming.
I popped up the front panel (all Recollections 110lb cardstock) with some foam dots and that's it!

Cure For The Monday Blues Challenge #29
Cure For The Monday Blues Challenge #29
Taheerah Atchia has chosen a darling inspiration picture for this week's Cure for the Monday Blues Challenge. I decided to use the colours as my inspiration and make a shaker card for my cousin - she loves interactive cards!
I took a piece of pink Wplus9 cardstock as a card base and added some champagne shimmer (Recollections) overtop. I cut out a Wplus9 red piece using PTI's Limitless Layers. I also cut out a piece with some white fun foam and a transparency. I stamped PTI's Wet Paint using my ever faithful Versafine Onyx Black and then added some Ranger glitter (Rock Candy) and Impress square sequins.
As you can see, I offset the red cardstock from the foam for an extra pinked edge ... something a little different!
For a finishing touch, I added a few Heidi Swapp Gold mist droplets here and there ...
Thanks, Taheerah, for the inspiration! :)
