Papertrey Make it Monday - coloured kissing - attempt #5

Another attempt of coloured kissing for Papertrey's Make it Monday challenge.

Whoo baby, is that ever a dark photo! :(  Sorry about that!  I took white ink and inked up the By the Numbers impression plate and impressed a piece of chocolate cardstock and then layered a pink eyelet border die cut behind the main image.
I stamped Life's image and then colour kissed Text Style over top.  A Happy Days sentiment over that (all Fresh Inks) and then impressed the vintage cream block with the Woodgrain impression plate.  I matted the pink behind and then popped it up with foam dots.

Supplies:
Paper: Gina K chocolate, PTI vintage cream and pink
Stamps: PTI Life, Happy Days, Text Style
Ink: Fresh fresh lilac, pear, slate
Misc: PTI Impression plates - By the Numbers, Woodgrain; foam dots

Papertrey Make it Monday - coloured kissing - attempt #4

Another Make it Monday attempt of coloured kissing!  I took a Spring Moss card base and impressed it with Mehndi Medallion's impression plate.  I then layered a vintage cream Happy Days die cut and stamped it with the Wonderful Words sentiments (selectively inked).  Then some coloured kissing with Life images and Text Style newsprint.  All stamped with Impress Rubber Stamps' Fresh Inks.  I edged the die cut with Chai from PTI's Vintage Tea Dye duo.
Supplies all Papertrey unless noted:
Paper: Vintage Cream, Spring Moss
Stamps: Wonderful Words, Life, Text Style
Ink: Fresh Inks, Vintage Tea Dye Duo (chai)
Misc: Happy Days die, Mehndi Medallion impression plate, foam dots

Ribbon Girl Challenge - aqua and white - attempt #3

Another card for Ribbon Girl's aqua and white challenge!
So here goes:
I found this fun flower ribbon at the local fabric store and was excited to get a chance to use it!  I stamped the grid pattern in Jenni Bowlin's speckled egg ink and then layered an impressed Hawaiian Shores piece of cardstock over.  I inked the By the Numbers impression plate with Versamark embossing ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
The die cut was popped up with foam dots and then used some scor tape to adhere the ribbon.

Supplies:
Paper: Staples 110lb white, PTI Hawaiian Shores
Stamps: PTI Happy Days
Ink: Jenni Bowlin speckled egg, Memento Tuxedo Black, Versamark
Misc: PTI By the Numbers impression plate, flower ribbon, M's clear embossing powder, scor tape, foam dots

Ribbon Girl Challenge - aqua and white - attempt #2

Another creation for the Ribbon Girl challenge of aqua and white:
What a great colour combination!!
I took my paint dabber from Jenni Bowlin in speckled egg and stamped the chevron strip from Papertrey for the background.  I then took the Movers and Shakers die set from PTI and cut white and Hawaiian Shores layers.  I layered a Happy Day die cut on top that I had also stamped with the paint dabber.  A sort of imperfect impression was what I was going for.
Here's what it looks like when you open it up - Text style background with Signature Greetings as the sentiment.
I did another card that I stamped with Frost White ink from Colorbox with the Fabric Design Hero Arts cling stamp and then Papertrey's Dress Form stamp in Memento's Tuxedo Black.
Not really aqua and white but a similar colour combo!

Supplies:
Paper: Staples 110lb white, PTI Hawaiian Shores
Stamps: PTI Chevron Strips, Happy Day, Text Style, Signature Greetings, Movers and Shakers (pull here)
Ink: Jenni Bowlin speckled egg, Jenni Bowlin paint dabber, Memento Tuxedo Black
Misc: (all PTI) Movers and Shakers sliders die, Happy Day die

Paper: PTI Hawaiian Shores
Stamps: Hero Arts Fabric Design cling, PTI Dress Form
Ink: Colorbox Frost White, Memento Tuxedo Black

Ribbon Girl Challenge - aqua and white - attempt #1

Love this colour combination so it was not hard for me to come up with a card for this challenge!
I used my Hero Arts cling dots stamp with speckled egg ink from Jenni Bowlin.  I then stamped the HA Made with Love sentiment with Memento Black ink.
I liberally sprayed Tattered Angels glimmer mist on the card before adding an MFT rolled rose felt flower using Ocean Tides felt from Papertrey.

Supplies:
Paper: Staples 110lb white
Stamps: HA Cling Dots, Made with love (sentiment)
Ink: Jenni Bowlin speckled egg, Memento tuxedo black
Misc: Tattered Angels glimmer mist, PTI Ocean Tides felt, MFT rolled rose die

Papertrey Make it Monday - coloured kissing - attempt #3

Another example of the coloured kissing technique!
Rosie Posie's less used and under loved flower with Newsprint and then Mat Stack 4's sentiment.  I used the Vine stamp set with some glossy accents for a little shine

Supplies:
Paper: Staples 110lb white
Stamps: PTI Rosie Posie, Vines, BB Newsprint, Mat Stack 4 (sentiment selectively inked)
Ink: Fresh Ink slate, navy, pear
Misc: Glossy Accents

Papertrey Make it Monday - coloured kissing - attempt #2

Another attempt to do the fabulous coloured kissing technique featured over on PTI's blog for their Make it Monday.

I used my Rosie Posie set + Chevron strips and then Harvest Berries + Newsprint set.  Those Fresh Inks give great coverage and I'm loving the colours.  I combined them with Jenni Bowlin's Brown Sugar for kissing.
Supplies:
Paper: Staples 110lb white
Stamps: PTI Rosie Posie, Chevron Strips, Harvest Berries, Newsprint, Think Big
Ink: Fresh Ink - red currant, steel blue, slate; Jenni Bowlin Brown Sugar

Passion for Papertrey - colour pop challenge

Over at Passion for Papertrey, the lovely ladies have launched a challenge to create a card with a pop of colour.  Here's my contribution:
I combined it with the Hero Arts technique featured this month called Velveteen stamping.  You stamp in white first and then layer other stamping over top so that the white comes through.
Subtle but fun!  I used my new Chevron set that I got second hand.  I'm loving it!
Here's a close up of the tone on tone effect:
Supplies:
Paper: Staples 110lb white
Stamps: PTI Pretty Peonies, Chevron Strips, Harvest Berries; Hero Arts Made with Love (sentiment)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Fresh Ink - slate, red currant, Colorbox Frost White

Papertrey Make it Monday - coloured kissing - attempt #1

I love this technique so was super excited when I saw it posted as an MIM video.
I stamped the Modern Basics solid stamp with Fresh ink and then used a background stamp in Memento tuxedo black ink.
I used Glossy Accents over top of the kissed images for some dimension.

Supplies:
Paper: Staples 110lb white
Stamps: PTI Text Style, Geometrics, Everyday Button Bits (sentiment); Hero Arts envelope pattern
Ink: Fresh Ink, Memento Tuxedo Black
Misc: Glossy Accents

Every single day ...

Well, I decided to break out my new Movers and Shakers zipper die and make a card.  I love the simplicity of the set and how cool a card you can make quite quickly.
I used some Fresh Ink in steel blue to stamp the newsprint background and then fresh lilac ink for the flourishes.  I took a piece of Enchanted Evening cardstock and stamped the sentiment and instruction in Memento tuxedo black ink on the zipper die cut.
A piece of Hawaiian Shores cardstock was stamped with the canvas background in Frost White ink (Colorbox) and then the sentiment in tuxedo black.  Here's what it looks like since the finished product will hide the inner sentiment until it is ripped open:
Here's the background stamp - it is a great large stamp that covers an entire card.  It's made by Impression Obsession and I got it for $5 on sale at a store in Berkeley.  Gotta love sales!
I used a liberal amount of scor-tape to adhere so that when the zipper portion is ripped, the rest stays stuck down.

Supplies:
Paper: Staples 110lb white; PTI Hawaiian Shores, Enchanted Evening
Stamps: PTI Movers and Shakers, BB Newsprint, Fancy Flourishes; Impression Obsession Cover a Card canvas
Ink: Colorbox Frost White, Memento Tuxedo Black; Fresh inks - steel blue, fresh lilac
Misc: 1/8" scor-tape (Sookwang tape), PTI Movers and Shakers zipper die
