I love to create cards and it seems people enjoy receiving them. You'll often find me amidst a stack of paper, glitter, stamps and inks playing with my supplies. If you would like to make an order, email me at cardsbycara AT hotmail DOT com
My third set is using Perfect Pearls with polka dots and Maile's 'Tis the Season stamp set again - just love the thin modern font! I used a mat stack and made my own punched pieces with a heart and smaller circle punch.
Here you can see a bit more of the sheen perhaps ... I used gold, copper and silver Perfect Pearls ... love the sparkle and the fact that it is so easy but so effective.
Well, that's it for me! I haven't made a ton of holiday cards yet so this challenge is making me think I need to get started ...
My next set uses Kraft tags with the Holiday Lights set's images and sentiments. I love the look of light white or cream opaque ink on kraft so that's what I went with ... One tag has turquoise bulbs and the rest are white - the photos are all on my phone so are not showing up that well ... plus it's dark outside so no good light. My apologies!
I usually stamp the bulbs in bright colours and add glossy accents for a shiny look but kept these very basic with the opaque cream ink (PTI cream ink) for a more monochromatic look ...
This is a fun challenge all about tags this month and after I got home from my First Aid recertification course, I whipped up a few sets of tags ... very simple ones with no crazy layers like I do sometimes. This way I could even mail them with no worries ...
I stamped Mistletoe and Holly's images in Fresh pear ink and then another one (forefront) in Tuscan Olive before adding some of Maile's new sentiments from her 'Tis the Season sentiment set in Tuxedo Black ink (Memento). I used the Tag Sale #5 die on some PTI music background patterned paper.
This week's Make it Monday video was a fun technique called Repeat and Lift.
I had to make a birthday card for my aunt so used the same word die that Nichole demonstrated with.
I took a white woodgrain die cut using the Birthday Wonderful Words die and did some of the multi colour layered stamping with the birthday stamp behind. I used my Jenni Bowlin Speckled Egg and Weather Vane. I used some clear foam tape and then added the 'sweet' sentiment from Little Bitty Bird using JB Spiced Tin.
I added three Studio Calico wood veeneer stars that I coloured with my Wink of Stella gold pen. I then took the circles from Irresistible Ikat (PTI) and stamped those around the whole card using Speckled Egg ink.
I think my aunt will like this card and it has a little bit of dimension but is still classic, just like her.
